The SIRIUS 3RW30 soft starter is designed for standard applications for the gentle starting of three-phase asynchronous motors. It allows for stepless starting, reduces current peaks, avoids voltage fluctuations in the power supply during startup, relieves the power supply network, and decreases mechanical stress on the drive. Additionally, it offers significant space and wiring savings compared to star-delta starters and frequency converters, maintenance-free switching, and easy handling. The integrated bypass ensures a compact design and lower heating in the control cabinet. It comes with worldwide approvals (e.g., IEC and UL/CSA). The 3RW soft starters are available for networks up to 690 V in a wide power range with various control supply voltages and are equipped with screw and spring terminals throughout. The 3RW30/40 models have additional variants with a 24 V control supply voltage. Some of the 3RW40 up to size S3, as well as all 3RW44, also offer thermistor motor protection. With the optional connection module, the soft starters can be mounted on circuit breakers, including variants with spring terminals.
