Recently, camera manufacturers have criminally neglected entry-level cameras. As a result, hardly any new models have come onto the market that are available from specialist retailers for less than 1000 euros - let alone for less than 500 euros. In the days of DSLRs, the choice in this price range was much greater...

Product details
The Sony ZV-E10 II Starter Kit includes a compact vlogging camera with a zoom lens, a 64 GB memory card, and a handy camera bag. This complete package provides essential equipment for content creators who need immediate functionality. The camera features a 26-megapixel APS-C image sensor that captures high-resolution still images and 4K video at 60 frames per second. The included 16-50 mm zoom lens offers versatile framing options for various photography styles and vlogging applications. Video recording capabilities include slow-motion functionality with up to 2.5 times slow motion to highlight special moments. The S-Cinetone file profile captures additional data for extended dynamic range and provides greater flexibility during post-production. The compact design ensures portability, while the camera bag offers practical storage and transport protection. The 64 GB memory card provides substantial storage capacity for recorded material. In active mode, the camera applies a crop that reduces the field of view. The compact form factor may affect handling comfort during longer photography sessions. This mirrorless camera system works with interchangeable lenses and features electronic viewfinder functionality. The kit configuration eliminates the need for separate accessory purchases, making it suitable for users seeking immediate readiness. The camera measures approximately 115 mm in width, 64 mm in height, and 45 mm in depth, with a weight of about 343 grams without the lens. The complete starter kit offers a balanced combination of performance features and practical accessories for content creation needs.

- Improved battery life

- Faster storage speed
- No viewfinder
- No image stabiliser
- Partly higher image noise
The Sony ZV-E10 II compact system camera is tested with a number of improvements compared to its predecessor, the Sony ZV-E10. It can now film 4K video at 60 fps (frames per second) on request, as well as offering new video looks and a longer battery life. Anyone looking to buy a vlogging cam for the first time will find the Sony ZV-E10 Mark II a solid tool at a reasonable price.

- Flexible time-lapse and slow-motion function
- Extensive video equipment
- Good sound quality for video recordings
- Fast memory card interface
- Good image quality up to ISO 800, acceptable up to ISO 3,200
- Cheap-looking plastic ribbing instead of rubber coating
- High sound quality for videos
- films in 4K60p and up to 118 minutes at a time
- Without viewfinder and flash
The ZV-E10 Il does without flash and viewfinder and is still significantly more expensive than the Alpha 6100A. Why? Because it uses more modern technology. The new 26-megapixel sensor delivers slightly more detailed images, while the more powerful image processor ensures better scene recognition and more video functions. Great: The large battery enables very long video recordings.
Sony has improved the ZV-E10 Il in many ways. Above all, the consistent touchscreen operation was long overdue. For photographers, the mechanical shutter is a disadvantage, as the shortest flash synchronisation time is reduced from 1/160 s to 1/30 s. The price increase is remarkable: while the ZV-E10 - which remains on the market - costs around 680 euros, Sony is asking around 1100 euros for the ZV-E10...
