The ICUSB2324852 2-Port USB to RS232/RS422/RS485 Serial Adapter with COM retention allows you to connect any type of serial device to a USB-enabled computer for communication via an RS232, RS422, or RS485 connection. The adapter features a 9-pin connector (DB9) as well as a 5-pin terminal block with a serial connector and a DIP switch for easy configuration with minimal software requirements. The adapter also supports the simultaneous use of 2 ports with different protocols, such as RS-232 on Port 1 and RS-485 on Port 2, or any other combination.
For convenient and tidy installation in an office or industrial environment, the RS232/RS422/RS485 USB adapter can be wall-mounted and powered through the host USB connection. This also powers the serially connected device without the need for an external power adapter.
