This controller card features a mounting bracket for flat or half-height mounting and includes 4 ports for PCI Express 2.0 SATA III at 6 Gbps. The StarTech 4-Port PCI Express 2.0 SATA with HyperDuo controller card adds 4 AHCI SATA III ports to your computer via the PCIe slot (x2), providing multiple 6 Gbps internal connections for high-performance hard drives and SSDs.

With HyperDuo technology, the SATA card offers automatic SSD classification to balance the performance benefits of an SSD. It supports HyperDuo automatic SSD classification, hardware RAID modes 0, 1, and 1+0, which can be configured via BIOS. Additionally, it supports Native Command Queue (NCQ) for ATA/ATAPI commands and is compatible with HDDs, SSDs, optical drives, and Blu-Ray drives.

The card is fully compliant with SATA 3.0 specifications and is backward compatible with SATA I/II drives (1.5/3.0 Gbps). It adheres to PCI Express 2.0 standards and features a port multiplier that supports FIS-based and command-based switching. The native supported single chipset design allows for easy HyperDuo configuration via Card BIOS level or an intuitive GUI console (Windows only). LED headers are included for LED indicators for HDD activity.
