1000 Mbit/s Gigabit multimode fiber media converter. With the StarTech 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Multimode Fiber Media Converter (LC, 550 m), you can extend a Gigabit Ethernet network over multimode fiber. Connect a Gigabit Ethernet network (1000Base-T) to remote network segments via a fiber backbone (1000Base-LX/SX). The ET91000-LC2 Gigabit Ethernet to multimode fiber converter supports full Gigabit speeds for optimal network performance and scalability. It supports standalone operation or installation in the ETCHS2U rack mount chassis. For replacement or to switch to a different specification, the SFP can be removed from the unit. A cost-effective way to extend or bridge networks with fiber optics. Advanced features include link loss forwarding, status remote monitoring, two frame sizes, and a maximum fiber cable length of 550 m. Supports full or half-duplex operation. Easy to use and install. Supports jumbo frames.
