The StarTech 10/100 Mbit/s single-mode fiber media converter SC allows you to extend a Fast Ethernet network over single-mode fiber up to 30 km. The single-mode media converter is designed to provide a durable and practical Ethernet-to-fiber solution. It supports standalone operation or installation in the ETCHS2U rack-mount chassis. This is a cost-effective way to extend or bridge networks with fiber optics. Advanced features include link loss forwarding, status remote monitoring, and two frame sizes. The maximum fiber cable length is 30 km. The media converter supports full or half-duplex operation and is easy to use and install.
