It consists of a set that includes an external AC-DC adapter (similar to those used with laptops) and an internal DC-DC converter board that directly plugs into the 24-pin connector of the motherboard. Both components are connected via a barrel connector and corresponding socket.

The socket extends from the internal converter board through a cable approximately 40 cm long, which can be secured to the back of the case with a knurled nut, where the cable from the external adapter is plugged in. The ST-NANO160 HTPC power supply is ideal for silent systems based on Streacom's innovative passive cases, but it can also be used in other HTPC configurations as long as the maximum total power capacity of 160 watts is not exceeded.
