The Tascam DR-10SG is a lightweight directional microphone with an integrated audio recorder. The DR-10SG directional microphone can be mounted on any camera with a hot shoe adapter. The mono recordings are saved in WAV/BWF format directly to a micro SD/SDHC card or can be forwarded to the camera. The supercardioid characteristic ensures clear direct sound, even in noisy environments. The recording level can be selected manually or automatically, with a switchable limiter to prevent unwanted clipping. To eliminate unwanted low-frequency noise, the built-in low-cut filter can be activated. An unusual feature is the parallel recording, which allows two audio tracks with different levels to be recorded simultaneously. If the signal becomes too loud despite the limiter, the quieter recording track can be used for post-processing. The headphone connection allows for live monitoring during recording. The recorded data can be transferred to a computer via the USB 2.0 connection. The DR-10SG is powered by a AAA battery.
