XS9 series inductive proximity sensors are made of 316L stainless steel. The XS9 series features a one-piece 316L stainless steel housing with a highly durable sensor face that is resistant to mechanical shock and vibration. This series is ideal for use in harsh industrial environments and is well suited for applications such as food and beverage, underwater applications, and vehicles with mobile parts. The XS sensors are 100% metal, highly resistant to water pressure and exposure, and offer IP68/69K enclosure protection. The Ecolab specification means that these sensors are resistant to aggressive cleaning processes that use chemical agents. The Factor 1 detection feature allows detection of ferrous as well as non-ferrous materials from the same distance. The cylindrical design features a high switching frequency, and both flush and non-flush versions are available. They operate with a 3-wire DC power supply, have solid state static outputs, LED indication, and include reverse polarity, overload, and short circuit protection.
