Improved structural composition, higher efficiency
Key factors for enhanced performance include larger banks and burst lengths. DDR5 allows for up to 32 banks (memory units that can be individually activated/deactivated), consisting of 8 bank groups, effectively doubling the access options compared to the 16 banks of DDR4 standards; the burst length of DDR5 (the amount of data that can be accessed with a single DRAM read/write command) is also twice as large as that of DDR4.

Reduced operating voltage, improved energy efficiency
The standard operating voltage has been reduced from 1.2 V in DDR4 modules to 1.1 V, lowering energy consumption for each bandwidth to save energy and reduce your load. To minimize noise interference, power management has been transferred from the motherboard to the memory and is complemented by a PMIC for effective system load management.
