The Varta LCD universal charger is able to charge AA/AAA/C/D and 9V NiMH rechargeable batteries. The extensive safety features and the large LCD display to show the charge status make the LCD universal charger your reliable all-rounder. It allows the simultaneous charging of a wide variety of combinations in terms of number, charge status, capacities and sizes of batteries. A procedure for switching off the charging process utilises the fact that the voltage (delta U) decreases slightly when the batteries are fully charged. A safety timer switches off after a certain time, regardless of the charging status. Mobile devices can be charged via the charger's USB interfaces using a USB cable. Defective cells are not charged and therefore do not damage the charger. It recognises faulty, unsuitable or incorrectly inserted battery types and offers protection against incorrectly inserted cells. The charging time is 4 hours.
