The VR pioneer Oculus has equipped the headset known as Quest with two OLED displays, each boasting a resolution of 1,440 x 1,600 pixels, providing a field of view of up to 100 degrees, viewed through two Fresnel lenses. This additional padding for the head strap, sourced from third-party provider VR Cover, is made from comfortable foam with a synthetic leather cover, making the wearing experience of the VR headset significantly more pleasant, especially during longer usage periods, similar to a pillowcase. Additionally, the VR headset sits more securely, particularly during action-packed games. With a thickness of 17 mm, this padding is especially suitable for younger players or those who find the head strap too loose.
