Wago Wireless access point
Product details
The wireless access point enables access to a machine or system via radio. This wireless transmission can occur through WLAN (IEEE802.11a/b/g/d/n/r), Bluetooth, or Bluetooth Low Energy in various operating modes. For example, it allows access to the control of a machine wirelessly using a tablet or smartphone. By adjusting the configuration, the device can also integrate a machine or system into an existing wireless network (e.g., WLAN network) as a client. The third important operating mode is the establishment of a wireless transmission link for ETHERNET protocols such as PROFINET, Modbus/TCP, EtherNet/IP, etc., between two devices. In this gateway mode, the device acts as a cable replacement to create a robust, industrial-grade Bluetooth or WLAN connection between two automation devices.
The installation of the wireless access point is done through a housing cutout (cutout diameter = 50.5 mm) in the control cabinet. The wireless access point is inserted into this cutout and secured from the opposite side with an M50 nut. The wiring is done inside the control cabinet. The outer casing meets the protection class IP67.
Note: The wireless access point is compatible with the wireless ETHERNET gateway. These devices can be used together in a network.
