The Heatkiller IV EBC Backplate is a sensible addition for the graphics card coolers of the Heatkiller IV series. Mounted on the back of the graphics card, it enhances cooling performance and increases mechanical stability. This is made possible by the use of solid black anodized aluminum. The aesthetics are also well taken care of. The backplate cools relevant components on the back of the PCB, including the GPU and voltage regulators (VRM). Spacers (electrically insulating) attached to the back of the backplate ensure easy installation on the graphics card. The included mounting hardware is optimized for use with a Heatkiller IV EBC series water cooler. The backplate can also be used with water coolers from other manufacturers, but specially adapted mounting hardware will be required for this.
