The Yealink SIP-T58A combines simple operation with modern technology. The 7-inch capacitive touch screen with practical speed dials displays the most important information. It supports common audio codecs like G.722, G.711, and the new OPUS codec. A 2-megapixel camera (CAM50) can be connected to the SIP-T58A, enabling HD video telephony at 720p with 30 frames per second. The lens can be covered with a privacy shutter or the entire camera can be removed from the device. The device allows video telephony for up to five subscribers, with a maximum of three participating in video calls. The screen display of the conference participants can be moved or enlarged as desired. It supports video codecs H.264 High Profile, H.264, and VP8. The SIP-T58A comes with the Android 5.1.1 operating system and pre-installed applications such as an email client, calendar, and more. The large, tiltable touch screen and the 27 speed dial keys with individually adjustable functions simplify everyday work. The VoIP telephone with Gigabit switch can be operated via PoE, supports up to 16 SIP accounts, and the new Opus codec. It also features Bluetooth 4.0 with headset profile, a USB port for headsets, and WLAN 802.11b/g/n. The device can be wall-mounted and supplemented with up to three expansion modules (EXP50), each offering 60 additional speed-dial memory locations. Yealink has adapted the Android operating system to the VoIP environment to ensure a high level of security. For instance, third-party applications can only be installed via auto-provisioning and by the administrator. A normal user cannot simply install an application, as is usually the case with Android smartphones. Applications such as email, calendar, recorder, file manager, browser, and more are already pre-installed. Three individually adjustable home screens are also available.
