After several tests on different surfaces, Zowie by BenQ has developed the Zowie EC2-B, an ergonomic wired mouse for right-handers that adapts to the morphology and playing style
of each individual. The Zowie by BenQ EC1-B and EC2-B mice retain the same shape and size as the basic series when the PWM3360 is introduced. Most mice offer an information transfer rate of 125 Hz, which is artificially increased to 500 or 1000 Hz thanks to an often resource-intensive driver. The Zowie EC mice are the only ones that provide 1000Hz transmission by default without the need to install a single driver.
Optimized optical wheel
Unlike all other mice that generally use a mechanical wheel (often cheap), Zowie EC mice feature a 24-step optical wheel instead of 16 on EC versions for longer life, better responsiveness and higher accuracy. In almost all mice on the market, the cursor moves when you lift it to place it back in the middle of the mat. In professional competitions this kind of inaccuracy is unacceptable and can be very expensive. This is why Zowie has developed a unique optical technology that reduces the working distance of the sensor to 1.5 mm (compared to an average of 2 cm with a conventional mouse).
