1. StarTech M.2 to U.3 adapter

Conversion of an M.2 NVMe drive to a 2.5-inch form factor with a U.3 (SFF-TA-1001) interface. Convert and connect a PCIe M.2 NVMe/AHCI SSD to a 2.5-inch form factor for installation in a U.3 drive bay or backplane. Maintain consistent performance. Change the form factor of a 2242, 2260, or 2280 M.2 NVMe drive while preserving PCIe Gen 4 read and write speeds. This adapter is designed without a chipset to maintain performance when adapting an M.2 drive to a 2.5-inch form factor.

Easy setup. The M.2 to U.3 host adapter is compatible with all operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux. No additional drivers or software are required for installation and operation. The adapter includes mounting materials for the M.2 drive and U.3 adapter.

Compatibility. The M.2 to U.3 host adapter is backward compatible with earlier versions of M.2 PCIe NVMe drives. It is not compatible with SATA or SAS host controllers, M.2 SATA SSDs, or U.2 host interfaces.

3. StarTech SATA SSD/HDD ERASER/DOCK - 4KN

With this hard drive eraser, you can wipe a SATA solid-state drive (SSD) or a hard disk drive (HDD) without needing to connect to a host computer. It is compatible with 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives and supports SATA I, II, and III, as well as high-capacity drives, including 4Kn drives.

Hard drives can be securely wiped. You can use this eraser with confidence to reuse or reformat a hard drive. No data will remain on the drive that could be recovered with data recovery software. The SSD and HDD eraser supports nine wiping modes to meet a variety of security requirements, including quick wipe, overwrite with one or multiple passes, custom wipe, secure erase, and enhanced secure erase.

Wipe status and logs can be monitored. The hard drive eraser can connect to a serial RS232 printer to print a record of the wiping process. The receipt includes the time and date of the wipe as well as the wiping mode used. The LCD also allows you to monitor the performance and completion of the wiping process.

Data can be backed up before wiping the hard drive. The eraser can be used as a SATA dock when connected to a computer that supports USB 3.0. Data transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps are supported. As a dock, it can back up drives, check drives, and transfer data to a hard drive.
