1. is the ANC of these AirPods Pro 2021 (ANC) sufficient to completely block out bass-like vibrations from the neighbours (daily stomping around *dmdmdm* in a ring-horned house)? Headphones with ANC are of no use. 2. do the ends close off in the ear cups in such a way that a Pamir-style sound protector can be worn over the AirPods Pro 2021 (ANC)?

My experience would be that ANC is optimised to muffle noise in things like cars and planes. It hardly helps with any disturbances.
