and then they raise the price of the 13900k to 699 just before the 14900k comes out so that people will buy a 14900k ... it makes me want to buy here less and less.

Prices are set according to supply and demand, but also depend on suppliers and the availability of goods. A 'Price trend' tool is also available on the page for each item so that you can follow the trends.
