Are the headphones with Android recommendable? Apparently it is not possible to get a firmware update via Android. Is it possible to do the firmware update on an IOS or Itunes and then pair with an Andorid with the latest version?

To update the firmware, you need to connect the AirPods to an iOS device. You can also borrow a colleague's iPhone to do this - it's quick.

Keep in mind that many of the features of the AirPods can't really be used on Android. I would recommend that if you have an Apple Store near you, you go there and try out the AirPods. They are also supposed to fit well, which you can only find out by trying them out ;-)
