Hello, unfortunately I can't say anything about this because I bought this repeater from AVM to achieve better WLAN coverage = field strength with the Fritz Box 7490. This would not have been necessary if the Fritz-Box would have provided a better signal with external antennas as before. That the internal patch antennas are not the last word for cost reasons can be seen in the 6890, which again uses external antennas. It is just a bit more expensive. I don't need the repeater here any more.

The AVM Repeater works with every W-Lan network. With the newer Devolo W-Lan Points, Mesh should also work in the AVM.
