Can I also watch TV with this receiver if I have a digital home satellite system (with a socket in the room)? A cable comes out of the socket that looks like an Internet UPC cable, with copper wire in the middle. Is there a connection for this on the device?

This receiver is only for DVB-C, i.e. the signal supplied by UPC, for example. This box cannot do anything with a SAT signal. This box is actually only required if you have a beamer or an old TV without DVB-C. Current TVs already have DVB-C and do not need this box.
