Can I connect speakers or a sound bar directly to the TechniSat Digitradio 143?

Hello dear readers, I have a TechiSat Digitradio and have been using my old Grundig system as speakers. Now it's broken and I need new speakers, because nothing works without them. Can anyone give me a tip on which ones are good or what to look out for when buying new speakers, because of the connection. Thank you in advance.

Hello Hanspeter Lochbrunner Hello Walter Hueppi
I don't have a TechniSat Digitradio yet. But your tips have helped me. I will buy the system. Many thanks

Hello, these are two very different questions:

1. the TechniSat Digitradio 143 is a pure tuner without an output amplifier. This means that you can connect headphones directly, but not loudspeakers.

2 A sound bar always has, in addition to the built-in loudspeakers, an amplifier which is tuned to the internal loudspeakers. This means, of course, that the TechniSat Digitradio 143 can be connected to a soundbar or to an external amplifier with the associated loudspeakers. It has to be, because the TechniSat Digitradio 143 CD has no internal loudspeakers.

The best way, or at least this is what I have done, is to use an optical cable, so that there are no earth loops and therefore no humming or other undesirable noises on the speakers.

This way, you can enjoy the pure crystal-clear sound of the TechniSat Digitradio 143 CD!
