Can I download the software from the internet? Since I don't have a cd drive. Is the wifi usb strong enough for a 1gb/s internet? The room is 10m away c.a.

It cannot do 1Gb/s. It can only do 866Mbit/s on 5GHz and 300mbit in 2.4GHz. This combined results in 1200MBit/s. These are also only theoretical speeds on paper.
Add to this the distance + wall?

I haven't found any software. Product reviews are also rather negative.
