Can I install Ubuntu or another Linux_Unix clone on this tablet? What is meant is a solution out of the box, without having to compile a kernel and so on.

Probably not possible,as these Chinese tablets are designed primarily for primary school pupils (4 to 9 years old). For this special use, the Mate Pad Pro from Huawei is recommended, I have supplied this device (bought in China) with Algol69, worked excellently, plus Huawei's own OS HongMend (Harmony). For more detailed information on the internet: consumer.huawei.com.
