The keyboard uses two AAA batteries for power, which are non-rechargeable alkaline batteries included with the product. It does not have a built-in rechargeable battery or support charging via cable. Therefore, you cannot use rechargeable batteries that charge inside the keyboard, but you can use standard AAA rechargeable batteries if you replace them manually. The keyboard is designed to operate with replaceable AAA batteries only. Battery life is estimated at around 36 months with alkaline batteries.
