Can the analogue and digital outputs be used at the same time, e.g. analogue speakers in an external room and digital (optical) via the Samsung surround system?

In my opinion yes, the outputs can NOT be selected, only the inputs !
But be careful! The analogue output is a line output, NOT a speaker output.

Only the output that is selected is active. So only 1 channel at a time. 2 channels at the same time does not work.
