Can the Apple Pencil be used well with the iPad 2018 for academic purposes such as writing equations, writing essays and reading books? And is the volume when writing with the tip of the pencil touching the glass layer of the iPad not too loud (in a quiet classroom)?

As long as the essays are written by hand, everything works great. However, I would not use the on-screen keyboard for long texts.

I also need the pen for my studies and I am thrilled! You can't hear it at all. I need the pen with an Ipad Pro 12.9".
