Question about Reolink Argus 2
Can the Argus2 you sell do time-lapse photography? What hardware versions do the cameras you sell have? I bought the Argus2 from Microspot on the recommendation of a friend explicitly for time-lapse recordings. Unfortunately, the type sold by Microspot does not support this function (apparently there are several hardware versions for the Argus 2). Excerpt from the Reolink website: Reolink battery-powered cameras (with updated firmware). RLC-510A; RLC-520A; RLC-810A; RLC-811A; RLC-820A; RLC-822A; RLC-1220A; Argus 2; Argus Pro; Argus Eco; Argus 3; Argus PT; Reolink Go PT Notice: 1. other models (which have hardware versions such as IPC_381/IPC_513/IPC_515 etc.) do not support TimeLapse even with updated firmware. Only cameras with hardware version IPC_523128M support TimeLapse.
I bought the Reolink Argus 2 incl. solar panel (item number 7726260) at Digitec on 30.08.2021. According to the display in the Reolink app, the device I received has the hardware version BIPC_36S3216MC53 after connecting to the camera and supports the time-lapse function perfectly!
I have been using the BIPC_36S3216MC52 hardware version for about 2 years and there is no time-lapse or timelapse function. I have also missed it. Only a photo recording triggered by a schedule would be good. But there is no such thing. As far as I know, the only trigger is the integrated motion sensor (which also works well). For time-lapse recordings, I think - without guarantee - you would have to fall back on the purely mains-operated Reolink cameras (the Argus cameras are energy-optimised for self-sufficient operation, e.g. via solar panel, which is probably also the reason why the time-lapse function has not been integrated). All in all, a really great camera with a few drawbacks.
