Can the device be charged with a portable battery, power bank or similar to increase the battery life?

Yes, you can, but you need a power bank that can output approx. 100w at best and this adapter:
PowerGuard USB-C to DC Barrel 5.5 x 2.5 mm Adapter (DC plug, USB C)
Please note that the projector requires a lot of energy and the power bank will be empty relatively quickly, especially if you are not in Eco Mode (the projector is not normally in Eco Mode when it is connected to the power supply!)
