Can this headset (Jabra Evolve2 85 Wireless) be used without the manufacturer's PC software? What restrictions would that have?

The software offers a few more settings. For example, prioritise computer sound. The firmware update also runs via the software.
Without the dongle, I had problems with the telephony and online meeting software. I meant that with Windows, the included dongle also runs without software.

For me (MacBook Pro), this had the effect that I could only use the headset in teams via Bluetooth, but not via the small plug. Then I had a strange buzzing sound.
Everything works perfectly with the software.
