Can you connect two devices to it? Not for simultaneous sound output of course, but for example PC via Cinch for playing now and then and MacBook via docking station with S/PDIF for the rest of the time?
Yes, it should work.
I use 'Line In' for the PC and the 'Digital optical' connection for the PS4. Theoretically, you can also connect more, as long as there is still a connection.
