Yes, you can use the controller on your Mac, but please note some requirements: macOS supports wireless Xbox controllers with Bluetooth from newer versions and for full support your Mac should have macOS Ventura (or newer) or a more recent macOS version; Apple lists Xbox Wireless Controller (with Bluetooth, model 1708), Series S and Series X as supported controllers.
If you want to connect via Bluetooth, activate Bluetooth on your Mac, set the controller to pairing mode (Xbox button + Connect button) and select it in the Bluetooth settings.
Alternatively, a USB-C connection will also work if macOS recognises your controller; older controllers or macOS versions may require a driver or third-party tool.
