Do the headphones sound noticeably better than the DT 770 Pro? Would an upgrade be worthwhile?

Hoi Digiswag,

oh yes! I bought my daughter the DT770Pro years ago. A very good pair of headphones! Especially with what is otherwise available in this price segment, it impresses with a balanced sound i.e. not too transparent and pleasant bass. The DT1770 also fulfils these criteria. But it draws in much more detail and is cleaner. In any case, a worthwhile upgrade. Watch out: it's a studio headphone i.e. it's used to a decent amplifier. With 270Ω it is quite high impedance and needs a correspondingly high level! So MP3 player, mobile phone etc. is not so hip.

Greetings and stay healthy!

I don't know the DT 770 Pro, but had the 770, 880 and 990 DT Edition versions. In my opinion, the DT 1770 Pro is a very good mix of the clean sound of the 880 and the sealing of the 770. It's definitely an upgrade, but no one can tell you whether it's worth it for you.
