Does anyone know if this docking station is compatible with an alienware 17R3? I would like to buy the dock but would like to check the compatibility first.

Conclusion after ordering and installation. For alienware devices from the R3 series, the power-on and charging function via the dock does not work because the notebook is recognised as a non-Dell product. All other functions work perfectly. Even 2 screens in 4k are no problem and can be used without interruption.
