Does anyone know what happens if you connect an HP Elitebook with i5 processor and 620 Intel graphics chip, which according to the Intel data sheet only supports a horizontal resolution of 4'096 pixels?
According to Intel, a resolution of 4096x2304@60Hz is supported via Displayport and is even higher than 5120x1440 (pixels). So connect this monitor via Displayport and you will get the full resolution and 60Hz. If you don't have a DP port, please check if there is a USB-C with DP support. Here is a suitable USB-C to DP cable (1.5m):
i-tec USB Type C - DisplayPort (1.50 m, DisplayPort, USB Type C)
