If you want to install the Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe™ M.2 SSD - 250 GB MZ-V7S250BW, you need an M.2 slot with PCIe 3.0 with 4 lanes.
Please check whether the ASRock B450 Steel Legend motherboard has a suitable connector. If in doubt, contact the device manufacturer.

It fits - according to the manufacturer, the board has two M2 connections "1 Ultra M.2 (PCIe Gen3 x4), 1 M.2 (PCIe Gen3 x2 & SATA3)". This means that one is connected slower because only two PCIe lanes were available. For maximum speed, it is therefore better to use the "Ultra" connection. However, I would recommend buying the 512 GB version of this SSD for the small surcharge of around CHF 6. Even if the space is not needed, it will last longer.
