Does it matter how the Dell monitor is connected to the PC/laptop ? Is the monitor connected via HDMI and the soundbar via USB-A to the monitor or is USB-C mandatory?

I have attached the monitor with USB-C. USB-A should not be a problem. But the notebook is only supplied with power (charged) via USB-C.
