Question about Logitech Keys-To-Go

Does it not automatically connect to iMac? My wireless keyboard from Apple was broken, this should be a replacement, and not even with cable it connects automatically. This is suboptimal as you can't use the iMac without a keyboard if you need a password. Otherwise great for iPad iPhone. Opinions?

Ok I can answer my own question after research: keys to go is Bluetooth only. It is not a replacement for problems with the Apple keyboard because you have to have connected it manually beforehand and/or it doesn't work with a cable.

I had the problem that I could not log in to my iMac and to fix this I had to use keyboards that also work with cables and/or Apple's own wireless keyboards that connect immediately without having to connect manually with bluetooth.
