Yes, I always do it that way. The 11IR's power supply is connected to a Yamaha Pianocraft, which I switch on and off using the remote control. When I switch it off, the Euro socket on the back of the Pianocraft is also switched off; when I switch it on again, it is switched on again. It takes a relatively long time for the 11IR to boot up and play the radio stream, but it works reliably.
