Whether TPM-M or TPM-SPI is certainly in the appropriate manual for the mainboard from Asus. This information (manuals) can be downloaded from the Asus website. It should actually be the TPM-M module. The newer boards all need the -SPI module.

Asus itself offered suitable TPM modules, it takes luck to get hold of one.
