The Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe™ M.2 SSD is not compatible with PlayStation 5. A PCIe Gen4 M.2 NVMe SSD is required for compatibility with PlayStation 5. We recommend the Samsung 980 PRO NVMe™ M.2 SSD as an alternative. This internal SSD meets the manufacturer's requirements in terms of form factor, interface, module width and capacity. To use an M.2 SSD together with the Playstation 5 console, Sony also recommends effective heat dissipation with a cooling structure, such as a heat sink.
