Does this use DP Alt Mode or DisplayLink? I'm asking because I'm running Linux and installing the DisplayLink drivers can be problematic. Has anyone been able to confirm compatibility with Linux?

For me it worked with Fedora linux. Had a Dell laptop with Fedora installed and this docking station worked with a dual monitor setup.

Hello,
I've been using this docking system on a daily basis with Linux (Fedora) for some time now and it works perfectly.

No additional drivers to use. You can even update the docking firmware with the Linux fmupd tool, which is much easier than with Windows.
