Good day community, I'm in the process of building my first computer myself. I was able to get hold of a 5600x for the launch. However, I am now facing a small problem. In my previous pre-build, an Intel processor is installed and as far as I have heard, the BIOS of older mainboards must be updated in order to use the new Ryzen 5000s. Since I don't have an older Ryzen CPU at hand, this could become a problem. Is this also the case for mainboards with x570 chipsets? I can't quite see my way through the descriptions of the mobo manufacturers. In many cases you can only read "Ryzen 5000 ready". Does this mean that no BIOS update is necessary? I would be really happy if someone could give me an answer or recommend a motherboard with which I can operate the CPU without a BIOS update or somehow get around this problem.

Hi, I build today also my new PC with the Ryzen 5600X and I can tell you that you will not have problem... The only thing you have to do is chech if your mobo support BIOS Flash update (look if you have the USB port dedicate on the back) and secondly check on the support page of your mother board if there is the BIOS update for the new AMD 5000.
Once you checked all this stuff follow this instruction and everything will be ok! I done this procedure today.

This guide helped me today: https://www.asus.com/support...
(in my case was Asus ROG Strix B550-f wifi and Ryzen 5 5600X

Let me know if you have any problem.

If the manufacturer tells you that he already supports the 5000 CPUs, then that should be the case. I am also in the process of assembling a new PC. I had a BIOS update done by the dealer's technical support right after I bought my mainboard. Why don't you ask the manufacturer's support and then an IT technician? My BIOS update cost me 20 euros.
