I have a stereo pair in my bedroom. The bass is really good for the size of the speakers, but it can't be compared with large-volume speakers and a good amplifier.

Bass is tiptop, I have a single one in the kitchen and it sounds very good.
For larger rooms, however, it's better to use a pair in stereo mode.
