I have a Netstmo Home camera in use. It cannot recognise our cat's face (it is snow-white). However, it reports "movement detected" when it goes into the kitchen to eat. I have installed the camera quite high up, at a distance of about 5m from the kitchen, but it may be possible to achieve better results at a shorter distance.

Since version 2.1.0, the Welcome Camera can also recognise and record pets (if desired).

No, it doesn't work (yet). I held our cat in front of the camera on purpose, but no success ;-)

The cam is not designed to recognise animals, only people. The Present Cam from Netatmo can.

Thank you very much for both your answers. That's a pity, of course ... but it is clear that recognising people is more important, also because of burglary protection.
