Hello all Can this injector be operated together with an AP from the manufacturer of the same name, e.g. directly with a Swisscom modem, or does it have to be preceded by a switch from Ubiquity?

Hello PARTLandolt,
In principle, AP can be integrated directly into the network and, apart from the POE injector for power, does not need any intermediate devices.
Although the AP can be configured directly via a mobile phone (for very simple setups), I recommend having a cloud key or some Linux/Windows PC / virtual machine in the same network to configure the WiFi APs.

Adoption via app:
1. start app, phone should be on the same network as the Unifi AP (if wireless network is not already available: the Unifi Access Point comes with a standard network, PW and name should be printed on the back of the device via QR code).
2. app should recognise Unifi AP directly.
3. adopt Unifi AP. 4.
4. configure Unifi AP wireless network.
