Ring Spotlight Cam Pro, Wired - White
1920 x 1080 Pixels
Hello Community. I assume that this model of Ring Spotlight Cam pro has direct (without any plug-in adapter) to power grid. Can anyone explain the price difference between white (CHF 229.90) and black (CHF 196) versions? Does this camera have quick and stable online connection to a mobile device (with Ring app)? I am using Reolink camera for a week or two, and I am not satisfied at all - connection is very slow and poor. Sometimes it takes more that 30 sec, sometimes it fails... And when I finally get the camera view after event notification (Someone is at your door :-) - "a visitor" has gone already. No concerns about WiFi network strength at the camera location - internet speed is 100 Mbps for upload and 150 for download
I can't explain the difference between the prices of white and black, it could be due to stock levels, for example. BUT: Be careful if you only want to operate this cam with the two batteries, without a mains connection. Unfortunately, it then sporadically and irrevocably loses the WLAN and will not come back without a new manual login. Presumably the electronics are better tuned or the software allows higher performance, so that this does not normally happen in mains operation. There are various reports on this in the Ring community. I have the system with 3 Cam Pro's connected to the mains (plus batteries), and for 3 months now the Cam Pro - in contrast to other Ring Cam's - has been running well.
