I can't say anything about compatibility with the PS4, but the price/performance ratio of this drive is top. And it has been doing its job in the family notebook for 1.5 years without a care in the world. I can recommend it. Fortunately, there are no Pro models from Crucial and the relevant trade press advises against Pro models above 500GB, not because they are bad, but too expensive in relation to the additional speed gain.

I installed a 2tb 2 weeks ago and the Pro is almost twice as fast. Remember that you have to download the 900mb software and not the 400 mb software, otherwise it won't work.
