Question about Delock Monitor splitter HDMI

Hello, I have a laptop with one hdmi connection and a single mini display port connection. I have two portable monitors that each come with a micro hdmi to hdmi cable. So that I can use both monitors which option would be better: 1. hdmi splitter or 2. mini display port - hdmi converter so that I use the hdmi and mini dp connections? The laptop does not support USD type C. Would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Personally i would prefer the MiniDP to HDMI, because you can find cables that do that and like that only have 2 Video cables instead of 2 cables and a splitter.
